On Wednesday July 10, it was reported that a man actually shot his twin brother in the leg. The shooting occurred near the Fashion Valley Mall in San Diego. Apparently the shooting took place at somewhere around 5:30 in the morning, according to a San Diego police interview with television crews.
According to reports from a fire rescue dispatcher, they took the victim to Sharp Memorial Hospital. Nevertheless, reporters were not able to glean many other details from the releases. Nevertheless, a news outlet in the area was able to give residents a few other pieces of vital information. These pieces of information did not come necessarily easily, but they have made the case more accessible to the general population.
The two brothers were identical twins, and therefore they were both 34 years old. The shooting allegedly took place in front of a home. A different news outlet cited police investigations, and claimed that the one twin shot his brother during a dispute. The dispute apparently lasted throughout the entire evening. What started the dispute does not currently seem to be clear. It may become more so in the near future.
Police have taken the suspect into custody. He will be charged for assault, having used a deadly weapon. In spite of this, officials have described the other brother’s injuries as not life threatening. He is expected to recover to at least some degree. It does not appear that he is seriously injured at this time.
Sibling rivalry has become a hot topic in the past. While children might cause problems for one another, serious family problems can sometimes become extremely violent. Fortunately a death did not come about as a result of this shooting, but that is not always the case. Domestic disputes can sometimes turn deadly.
This in spite of a legal system put in place that’s designed to prevent this from happening. Those who are arguing over property or money are urged to settle under the legal court system. Replacing weapons with attorneys is an important aspect to building a more peaceful society.
